Our Needle in the Haystack.

Hello Everyone,

You hear it.. a lot.
You see it.. too little.
Everyone seems to agree on it,
and still no one really has it.
Or, at least not for long..
not your whole life long.
I’m talking about peace.

Ok.. now let me guess what you are thinking:
Ow gosh, not that one again!
But come on, admit it.
Isn’t it a bit sad that everyone
always promises us mountains of gold
and all we get is a bit mountain of hay..
with a needle included.
What nice of them again.
Peace.. so what is peace?
“Peace is a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violent conflict.”
And the price goes to…
No just joking, so peace is a state of harmony.
Makes sense indeed. Harmony between what though?
Between religions, between humankind, between countries,
between families, between political parties.Lack of violent conflict.. makes sense too.
No war, no fights, no violence. Which is logical if there was harmony.
No need for any violent conflicts is there?
So lets google peace for you….
Ok, this one looks promising.
And problem there:
www.peaceconsumer.org
Peaceconsumer.org doesn’t exist any more, sorry for the inconveniency.
So.. now i found a site, telling me about peace..
telling me that it doesn’t.. quite.. exist any longer?
And they call it an inconveniency?
Ok.. that is the understatement of the millennium.
Though after all, how sadly but true.
Peace is an ideal picture of a world, of a life.. that doesn’t really exist.
It’s like the word “normal”, normal doesn’t really exist either does it?

So peace…
Maybe peace..
isn’t about a mountain of gold.
Maybe peace..
isn’t to be looked at in the big picture at all.
Maybe peace..
is how strange it might sound,
the needle.

The needle in our haystack..
Small and shiny, for everyone there..
though not for everyone to reach,
though not for everyone to find.

I’d say peace is the unreachable dream, everyone wants it, tho we got those few special who just want more power, the selfish. i think we could achieve peace if noone were selfish, tho sadly it’s a part of the human nature.
well, for those who wants to see peace win, check out peaceoneday.com 🙂
a small victory for peace! 😀

      Hey,
Achieving peace is an unreachable dream indeed.
We are human, and it indeed is our nature to be selfish.
We want money, love, happiness, no worries, our own culture, equalty…
Not without a reason that we shout at concerts: We Want More!!
      Greetz, MMasing.
